I want to complain about my elevators but first... "Independence Day" was on this weekend, WITH commercials and I still somehow got roped into watching the majority of it. Has there been a bigger blockbuster that's shown so much rust as this one??? It's horrendous, in an enjoyable way, let us count the ways...
So the Fresh Prince is in a dog fight with an Alien UFO, this is where I started watching, and somehow or whatever the alien ship crashes and the Fresh Prince needs to eject from his fighter plane. So the shot cuts to him about to land with his parachute on the ground. The scene appears to be achieved by a film crew guy dropping a dummy from 20 feet. The dummy lands hard enough where i'd assume every bone in the Fresh Prince's body would be destroyed. I swear arms and legs are forced in every wrong direction possible. Thankfully he gets up unscathed, knocks out the alien with a punch to the "face" and delivers this gem: "Now That's what I call a close encounter! "
I remember as a younger idealistic lad having my heartstrings tugged at when the first lady is about to die after just being reunited with the President played by Bill Pullman
Lonestar's Schwartz
So besides a few smudges of dirt on her face the first lady looks in pretty good condition, breathing seems pretty normal, she's not missing any body parts but alas she is dying... in a hospital, with groups of doctors and nurses near her bed she is dying and no one has worked on here one bit.
I know I am knit-picking but that's what I do....
I'll stop with this one: Hello boys, I'm BACK!
Googling for the above picture, I found the below:
but getting back to Randy Quaid, his finale words were "I'm back!!!!!" which takes me to....

I have begun working on my Epitaph, best to do so before it's too late, here's what I have so far:
"He relished life and love hugely, and revelled in the diverse."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe I will get to the elevators next time....
