Getting over the hump

I am tired today, not sure why, I got my normal amount of sleep, had a nice walk in to work but alas I am still tired...

So this is something that drives me nuts, I usually try to take it for what it is, an annoyance and let it go but I have to just get it off of my chest.  It's small, silly and dumb but I need to put it down in words.  The elevator situation in my office building.

I work on the 43rd floor of my building, it's the tippy top floor.  There is an elevator bank with 8 lifts, only 2 of which go to the 43rd floor, the other 6 service floors 24-42.  There is a button by one of the elevators that goes to my floor that says "express elevator to 43rd floor" but it is also capable of stopping on floors 38,39,40,41,42 and 43.  Now here is where it gets trying....  I NEED to take this one elevator to get up to my office, there's no other way around it, yet the people who are on the floors 38 and up will also just wait for the express elevator.  They will only press the express floor button and wait for it when they could use ANY of the elevators.  I have seen people standing in front of the express elevator as totally empty elevators open and close.  It drives me nuts, that they insist on using this one elevator as if it's different or better than the others!?!?!?  I swear to God and all that's holy that they let empty elevators go by so they can use this specific elevator!!?!?!?!?  It makes me crazy on various levels, crazy is an overstatement but you get my gist.  Okay that's all on that...
