I can guarantee weight-loss, a better longer life and happier times for you

I'll say it again: I can guarantee weight-loss, a better longer life and happier times for you, it's really easy as well.  I say really easy in as the steps to achieving are easily laid out, the actions are tough but such is life.  Woah, 2 blogs in one day, is that even allowed in proper blogging circles???  Well, I felt the impulse so here we are...

I was reading my Facebook statues and I saw one that read something like "Angry dieting woman, make way!".  Could there be anything worse than feeling this way?  First off, DIETING WILL NEVER WORK.  It's won't and that is just a fact.  Look at it this way, if a person is dieting then they probably are doing so because they would like to lose some extra weight.  The thought process being that losing some weight will make them look better and in return they'll feel better about themselves right?

Now let's go back to that woman's status,  "Angry dieting woman, make way!".  Is there anything in that statement that makes you think she's enjoying the process of losing weight and getting healthier?  I don't see it.  Is there any reason to think that after the diet "ends", old habits won't just creep back?  I mean if the way she is eating is making her angry and recommends to people to make way, then it is just doomed.  The "diet" will fail.

People shooting to look better, feel better and be better need to come to a few understandings.  The first is, it took years to put that weight on, you can't expect to lose it over a short period of time that has you feeling angry.   It's going to take time, patience and work.  If you can't afford some time, show a little patience and do a little work than it's hopeless.  I hope that doesn't sound mean but it's true.

Also along those same lines, there's no cleanse, no pill, no special shoe, no special ab roller that's going to magically do it, it all comes down to what you eat and how much you eat of it.  It needs to be a change not a time period of dieting.  The time period just sets up a time after which you can go back to eating the same crap that got you there in the first place, again it's doomed from the start.  Not smoking cigarettes for a week, knowing you will go back to smoking next weekend isn't really doing you any good, you may as well just smoke.

The other part of it is you need to enjoy it, it's a process.  Who doesn't like donuts? or ice cream? or fast food?  I wish they were good for us but they're not.  So you're at the crossroads, to one side you have crap that is killing you and the other healthy nutritional food.  You have the choice, you can have some self control and with some nutritional knowledge make healthy choices which is the road to losing weight and feeling better.  The other choice is you can choose to ignore your health (right, you're ignoring your health and your own well-being), pretend the processed food and ungodly amounts of sugar aren't killing you and take the road to poor health.  If you don't mind living your life that way I say go on and do it.  If you actually want to feel better, look better and be happier then you have to accept some truths, make smart decisions and consciously work at it.  It's not easy, that's why the payoff is so high.

What to do you ask?  I'll write that in part II
